Parent Input Session ** September 8, 2010 at 6:00 pm ** LPE Media Center
Mrs. Mizelle, the Southwestern Area Superintendent, will be holding an input session for the parents of Laurel Park Elementary to express the characteristics, traits, and qualities they desire in the next principal at Laurel Park. Please see attached information; process and procedures, for the input session.

Carpool tips from a Penguin Mom:
Are you having a hard time driving through the horseshoe turn because you aren't sure how close you are to the curb? By adjusting your passenger mirror a little bit downward, you'll be able to see the curb better and will minimize the risk of moving into the other lane. Do you always drive over the cement curb turn immediately after carpool drop off/pick up? Drive you car more towards the left side before turning (towards the storm drain) and you'll have plenty of space. |

Calling all Penguin Parents
- Our Snack Bank needs help! Please send any healthy snack donations to school with your child & label them "For the Snack Bank"!
- Our Citipass Fundraiser is underway!!! Please see the Fundraising page for more details! Please note that all orders are due by 9/13!!
- The school improvement team is in need of two parent members this year. Meetings are on Tuesdays at 8:15 and the first semester dates are August 31, September 28, October 26, and November 30. If you are interested please contact Ms McMahon at kmcmahon@wcpss.net.
